‘Safe House’ Trailer

5th November

The Safe House trailer has just been released and I have to say it looks pretty good!

Directed by Daniel Espinosa (Easy Money) and starring Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds, Robert Patrick, and Vera Farmiga.

After his disastrous performance in Green Lantern, I bet that Ryan Reynolds is hoping that this will be his return into the good graces of audiences everywhere. Providing that the trailer didn’t give away all the good stuff, then this might just do it for him. As for Denzel playing the “bad” guy role, the guy can play this in his sleep…so I have no doubt that he’ll be great in it.

Safe House is schedule for a February 2012 release in the US.

What happens when you take a Tony Scott film starring Denzel Washington… called DeJa Vu and make the same film using Jake Gyllenhaal: – you call that movie Source Code.

Summary
Our lead wakes up on a train, but something feels strange - the girl sat across from him recognises him, but he does not recognise his own reflection, a few short minutes later the train blows up and our lead wakes up in a pod receiving a video transmission from someone who is clearly military. Our lead discovers he’s got scary job to do… keep getting blown up until he works out who the bomber is…. Upon each visit to the train our lead begins to understand the situation and grows into his new role of detective – however as events on the train begin to make sense, back … Read More »

‘Henry’s Crime’ Poster & Trailer

5th April

You know it just might be a coincidence. It might be nothing more than chance. It might also be…the dawning of the age of Keanu!

This will be my third post in about a week about a forthcoming film starring the man who has played The One, Ted (of Bill & Ted fame), and John Constantine!

I’ve previously written about the currently in production 47 Ronin, the most excellent news of a new Bill & Ted film, and now I am writing about his new release, Henry’s Crime.

Directed by Malcolm Vanville (44 Inch Chest), written by Sacha Gervasi (The Terminal) and David N White (Undisputed III) it tells the story of Henry (Keanu Reeves) an ex-con who has just been released from prison after serving time for robbing a bank, a crime he didn’t commit. What is one supposed to do upon … Read More »

From the Blog!

1:37 exactly is a website designed to share movie reviews, trailers, and assorted bits n pieces that I find interesting, and hopefully some of you too. It is NOT a website for all official and up to date movie news and reviews. Trust me, there are PLENTY of great movie blogs and official websites that cover everything. In fact, if you ask me I will provide a list of them to you! Hopefully there is something on the site that you find interested and want to engage in a discussion on, if not, thanks for stopping by. Cheers, @Russell_Oz
