This one is my personal favourite; love the cityscape reflection and pose of The Webbed One.

Well it looks like the “Spider-Man” has a few fans around New York City and they have taken their support to the walls of the city, and Captain Stacy of the NYPD is not happy.

It’s Sunday so that can only mean that its time for another round of the Weekly Slab!

Unfortunately this week there wasn’t a lot a grabbed my fancy at all, there was only one story which I was interested in and that was the new poster for…

The Amazing Spider-Man Poster

The poster looks pretty sweet! It’s dark and a little broody and I love the effect of spider shadow. Given that the Sam Raimi version used a lot of bright recognisable colours in his posters it’s nice to see that the reboot when in a different direction.

That’s right people, the official trailer for the Spider-Man reboot has been released! And I have to say that I am very impressed!

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Martin Sheen as Ben Parker, Sally Field as May Parker, and Rhys Ifans as Dr Curt Connor/The Lizard.

I love the idea of mechanical web-shooters and to be able to see some of it in action was very cool. I know that some people say that mechanical web-shooters takes away from the believeability of the story but…um…it’s based on a comic book?!?! Exactly how believeable do you want it to be?

I thought the addition of Peter’s parents was an interesting take and from what I can remember (which honestly isn’t much) from the comic book there was a story … Read More »
