Today I finally got around to watching Rise of the Planet of the Apes after a very very long wait. I am very happy to say that I loved it! It was definitely worth the wait and I can now see why people thought it was one of the year’s best!
It’s been awhile since I’ve watched a movie that has made me want to write a review for it, but the moment I finished watching it I had 2 choices, either watch it again or write a review. The latter won out.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes Trailer

All Hail Caesar!
The first trailer from Rise of the Planet of the Apes has just been released and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised.
Directed by Rupert Wyatt (The Escapist) and written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (The Relic) based upon the original novel by Pierre Boulle. Starring James Franco (127 Hours) as Will Rodman and Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) as Caesar, this prequel charts the uprising of the apes caused by genetic engineering experiments and set in modern say San Francisco.
