Thanks to USA Today, we have a little more information about the new documentary, Life in a Day.

Before today I hadn’t heard about it but after watching the 2 minute trailer, I am sold.

Check it out for yourself now.

As you can see this film comes from the brilliant minds of Kevin McDonald and Ridley Scott, a film about one day, specifically July 24th 2010, on Planet Earth, filmed by people from all over the world.

There were over 80,000 video submissions totalling 4500 hours of a single day from the everyday people who populate this planet. It is these videos that make up this fascinating documentary.

Director Kevin McDonald said “I always knew this would say something fascinating about who we are as a species and what we value but I never realized how emotionally affecting the result would be.”
