Michael Mann in talks for ‘Go Like Hell’

According to Reuters, Michael Mann, the genius behind Heat, Collateral, and Public Enemies, is in talks to bring A.J Baime’s novel Go Like Hell to the big screen.
The novel, which tells the story of Henry Ford II and what he does to reinvent his grandfather’s company which results in the American company beating Ferrari in the most prestigious race in the world, Le Mans.
Michael Mann has a reputation for being a perfectionist but that is hardly a bad thing. In fact it’s one of the reasons why has been able to elicit some of the finest performances from Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Tom Cruise, and Will Smith. There is no doubt in my mind that his creative perfectionism will be required to tell the “All American Victory” story of Ford’s triumph at the 1967 Le Mans.
