Madonna Brings Wallace Simpson To The Big Screen

The story of King Edward VIII and Wallace Simpson has been brought to the big screen in W.E by the Material Girl herself, Madonna.

Madonna assumed the role of both writer and director for W.E, a two tier romantic drama which focuses on the affair between King Edward VIII and American divorcée Wallis Simpson and a contemporary romance between a married woman and a Russian security guard.

W.E marks the second time that Madonna has stepped behind the camera, the first being 2008′s Filth and Wisdom which is currently rated at a poor 26% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Will W.E score any better?
