‘The Five-Year Engagement’ Red Band Trailer
25th April
I’m really looking forward to watching The Five-Year Engagement because I think that Jason Segal and Emily Blunt make a great couple on-screen and seem to have a good comedic presence together.
If you’ve seen the original trailer for the film and you’ve already decided that you’re going to watch it then I would recommend NOT watching the below because it’s pretty much all new footage not shown in the other trailer, but will surely feature in the film. However if you’re a little undecided then you’ll enjoy the below.
So, what’s the verdict? Are you sold?
Given that Nicholas Stoller is on double duty (directing and screenwriting – co-writing it with Segel) I have a lot of confidence that he will bring the laughs and ensure that the audience is kept entertained. I have a lot of time for Jason Segel too, … Read More »

‘The Five-Year Engagement’ Trailer
8th December
Oh wow, another movie about the people getting married and the misadventures that they go through before the big day! I can’t wait…I am just going to sit here holding my breath with anticipation because I have never been more impressed with such an original idea for a movie.
Sigh.
Fine I’ll play nice. Introducing The Five-Year Engagement, from director Nicholas Stoller, the man behind one of my favourite comedies Get Him to the Greek and the earlier effort Forgetting Sarah Marshall, comes a “new” story starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt about a couple who get engaged only to find life getting in their way from actually tying the knot.
Segel, who has carved himself a nice little niche of being the nice guy, the goofy guy, the sometimes-quiet-getting-angry guy, who seems to play the exact same role in everything that I’ve … Read More »

Bad Teacher: Rude, Crude, and most importantly, Funny!
19th July
Before going in and watching Bad Teacher I suspected that even though I wanted it to be awesome I might just be in for some disappointment because realistically how engaging and entertaining can a story really be about a teacher who doesn’t want to be there nor play by the rules?I am very happy to report that my suspicions did not come to fruition, Bad Teacher is brilliant!
Brilliantly funny, very well written, terrific performances by all (except for the fiancé at the beginning of the movie….), and very well directed by Jake Kasdan (Walk Hard).
Bad Teacher is the story of Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz), a school teacher (just) who is ready to turn her back on her profession to marry into wealth and live the life of luxury. Things don’t work out to plan and she has to return for another … Read More »

Are you ready for the teacher who doesn’t a F?
Bad Teacher hits Australian screens on July 21st and personally it couldn’t come soon enough because it looks hilarious!
The films tells the story of Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz), a teacher who just simply doesn’t enjoy anything about teaching. In fact she’s just holding on until she can find her meal ticket to take her away from the drudgery of her days in the classroom. When she’s dumped by her fiancé, she sets her plan in motion to win over a rich, handsome substitute (Justin Timberlake) – competing for his affections with an overly energetic colleague, Amy (Lucy Punch) – but finds herself fighting off the advances of an irreverent gym teacher (Jason Segel).
Ms Diaz sums as her character; “Elizabeth isn’t a teacher because it’s noble – it’s just a job, … Read More »

The Second Muppets Trailer: Not in Swedish
19th June
Written by: Stoic Taco
Jason Segel said it best, “Is this another Muppet trailer parody? Why don’t we just show a real trailer? I mean, what are we hiding? Did we make the movie in Swedish or something?”
Just when you thought it was safe to head back to the Internet and search for a real Muppets movie trailer…they hit you again with another parody one. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not upset by this at all, in fact I could spend a good part of my day watching the Muppets do what they do best, which is why I enjoyed this second parody trailer just as much as the first one.
Well that and the fact that they reference The Green Lantern in this one!
The highlight for me in this one was watching Chris Cooper, Stadtler, and Waldorf sitting around a table … Read More »

Written by Stoic Taco
So by now you should know just how excited I am about Cameron Diaz’s new film, Bad Teacher…and if you don’t then I strongly suggest that you check out some of my earlier posts!
The film has all the makings of a comedy classic…Cameron Diaz playing against type as a crude, apathetic, and brutally honest teacher who is only interested in landing her dream man and will let nothing stand in her way!
If you haven’t seen the trailer already, check it out now. Oh NSFW so use headphones.
Ok, so you’re sold now right? Cool, here are some brand new pics from the film.
