I just came across this trailer tonight and it really surprised me because I had never heard of this movie before. At all.

I thought this was a little strange because you tend to hear about upcoming films and what certain actors are doing from various websites all over the Internet, but this one kind of snuck by under the radar.

It stars Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, John Goodman, Max Von Sydow, Viola Davis, Jeffrey Wright, James Gandolfini, and introducing the film’s star Thomas Horn.

The film is based on the novel (of the same name) by Jonathan Safran Foer, which tells the story of a young boy, Oskar, who loses his father in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Director Andrew Dominik re-teams with Brad Pitt for his next film Cogan’s Trade which tells the story of an enforcer who must investigate a heist that took place during a mob-controlled poker game.

Dominik and Pitt who last worked together for the character driven drama The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford  brings to the screen an adaptation of George V Higgins Boston-set crime drama.

A newly released image shows Brad Pitt in full gangster get up and holding his weapon of choice.
