How can one trailer make you wish you lived during the 1930′s Depression-era just so you could get your hands on illegal hooch?

Last week we wrote about how excited we were about the new film The Wettest County in the World, a period drama from director John Hillcoat and starring Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, and Gary Oldman.
This week comes the news that the Weinstein Co has recently acquired the film for the sum of in between $4 and $5 million dollars at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, according to the L.A Times.

Certainly the acquisition by the Weinstein Co is going to generate more interest about a film that could be one of this years stand outs.
