‘Killer Joe’ Trailer

After making a convincing “comeback” in 2011′s The Lincoln Lawyer where Matthew McConaughey showed the world that he still has what it takes to deliver a strong performance in a dramatic movie instead of just being known as the bongo drum guy, McConaughey looks like he’s on a roll because the trailer for Killer Joe looks intense!
Killer Joe is based on the stage play of the same name written by Tracy Letts, who adapted her play for the big screen. The play ran off-broadway for 9 months in 1998 and starred Scott Glen (Training Day), Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction), Michael Shannon (Take Shelter), and Sarah Paulson (Serenity).

‘Savages’ Trailer

The trailer for Oliver Stone’s Savages has been released and it kicks ass!
It has a Jackie Brown vibe to it, which is great casting combined with a strong story and a unique style. The cast consists of Salma Hayek, Benicio Del Toro, John Travolta, Blake Lively, Emile Hirsch, and Taylor Kitsch.
The only issue that I have with this film so far is that there is no way that I am going to be rooting for the “good guys” to win against a Mexican cartel that has Salma Hayek and Benicio Del Toro on its side….
Hayek and Del Toro win hands down in my book!
Savages is released in Australia on the 27th September 2012

The trailer for Oliver Stone’s Savages has been released and it kicks ass!
