Darren Aronofsky Walks Away From Wolverine

It appears that director Darren Aronofsky has walked away from The Wolverine citing the shoot time as primary reason.
The Hollywood Reporter states that Mr Aronofsky realised that the film shoot would take him away from his family for almost a year and he was uncomfortable with that and has since left the project.
“As I talked more about the film with my collaborators at Fox, it became clear that the production of The Wolverine would keep me out of the country for almost a year,” Aronofsky said in a joint statement with Fox. “I was not comfortable being away from my family for that length of time. ‘The Wolverine’ – “Gets Bigger”

Greetings all,
I am a fan of Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of Wolverine.
I don’t think that you can find a better actor to portray the rage, the depth of emotion, and sheer physicality of the Canadian mutant known as Logan.
The one thing that I have always struggled with his Mr Jackman’s height, he’s 6ft 2in, and Wolverine is supposed to be about 5ft 3in. That’s a pretty big difference.
Personally I’ve been able to overlook this variation away from the comic books simply because his performance has been so damn good. Although I am really basing this on ‘X-Men’ and ‘X2’ because the less said about ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ and ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ the better…
Now comes hope for a more accurate depiction of the “ol’ canucklehead” in the form of Darren Aronofsky, director of the forthcoming Wolverine film, ‘The Wolverine’.
