Short Film Review: Madeleine Zabel

Madeleine Zabel is a short film written, directed, and produced by Chris Shimojima.

The film stars Jenna D’Angelo as Madeleine Zabel, a socialite celebrity and Chris Henry Coffey as freelance reporter Elliot Snow. The short film revolves around a phone interview where Madeleine is questioned about her relationship with her boyfriend, living in the shadow of her charitable and more famous sister, and the leaking of a sex tape.

Madeleine Zabel makes full use of its 16:50 running time and covers many different themes from celebrity culture, journalistic integrity, and the current media obsession of prying into every corner of someone’s life to make public that which is private for the rest of us.
