I know that the idea of seven senior citizens retiring to a hotel in India may not appeal to everyone but I ask you all to give it a chance because The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is easily one of my favourite films of the year.
There are so many things to love about The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel that it’s hard to choose which element is my favourite. From the cast consisting of acting royalty who can do more with a single look than some actor’s can do with pages of dialogue, to the supporting actors who bring to life some interesting and engaging characters, to the Indian city of Jaipur which is a rich tapestry of people, poverty, colours, and vibrant energy.
