The Expendables 2 Official Trailer

The Expendables crew is back together for a bigger, meaner, and more explosive time than the first time round!

The crew is now bigger than before and consisting of some pretty big names and some new faces too. The Expendables crew now consists of; Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Liam Hemsworth, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, and Nan Yu.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am not looking forward to this movie at all and won’t be going to see it. I hated the first one despite taking myself off to the movies expecting sheer awesomeness only to be delivered a film that wanted so desperately to be taken seriously that it was ludicrously over the top and I was beyond disappointed.

But I am a good friend, so @ClintBertenshaw … Read More »

Schwarzenegger’s ‘The Last Stand’ Photo

Posted by Russell_Oz in Movie News. No Comments

2nd November

I knew I followed Arnold Schwarzenegger (@schwarzenegger) on Twitter for a reason, The Austrian Oak has tweeted a photo from the set of The Last Stand, complete with the tagline;

“Having a great time on set here at The Last Stand. We have a fantastic team.”

As you can see, The Man is all decked out in full small town sheriff attire, complete with a…Tommy Gun? I guess you’d need an extra-large holster for that, right?

Joining Arnold in the photo is Luis Guzman, Johnny Knoxville, and Jamie Alexander.

The Last Stand is currently being filmed and scheduled for a release in 2013.

‘Total Recall’ Remake – Unnecessary Reboot or Necessary Update?

Open your mind. Open your mind. Open your mind.

As Kuato said in 1990′s Total Recall, we were transported to Mars to follow Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Doug Quaid as he attempted to find out the mystery behind his shattered memories. It was a great great sci-fi movie which combined some cheesy dialogue (“You’ve got a lot of nerve showing your face around here”), Sharon Stone in spandex (“Consider dat de divorce”), an early 90′s vision of the future, Michael Ironside as the jealous henchman, Ronny Cox as the ultimate bad guy, and provided some great special effects….seriously has anyone come close to making Mars seem both freaky and alluring at the same time? I don’t think so, thanks Paul Verhoeven!

So if Total Recall was so great, why the hell do we need a reboot?!

When news first broke of a possible … Read More »

Sly Stallone WILL NOT be directing Expendables 2

First he was. Then he wasn’t. Then he was. Now he’s not.

Coming from the ultimate and official source, the man himself, Sylvester Stallone has stated that he will not be sitting in the director’s chair for the sequel of last year’s explosive-laden hit, The Expendables.

According to Deadline, Sly Stallone is involved in collating of list of suitable directors for the sequel and has been lobbying for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis to return after their short, but definitely worthwhile, cameo’s.

Perhaps a new director might be able to craft a decent action movie and make it more than just mindless action.

Sorry Sly…

Oh Mr Schwarzenegger…

The Governator? Really?

When Arnold Schwarzenegger’s term in political office ended earlier this year and his announcement that he was once again looking for film roles, I had high hopes.

Would we finally get to see the long talked about Crusades epic where he would play a knight searching for the holy grail? Would we get to see the World War II epic where he would play a Nazi who actually decides to help the Jews? Would we get to see something with a little more substance than the standard action fare that we’ve come to expect and would make the world take him seriously as an actor?

No.

What we find out is that Mr Schwarzenegger is teaming up with the legendary Stan Lee to make a comic book and animated series called The Governator.

The idea behind The Governator is that it takes … Read More »

It is NOT a website for all official and up to date movie news and reviews. Trust me, there are PLENTY of great movie blogs and official websites that cover everything. In fact, if you ask me I will provide a list of them to you! Hopefully there is something on the site that you find interested and want to engage in a discussion on, if not, thanks for stopping by.
