‘Flight’ Trailer
You ever watch a trailer and think “I’m gonna go watch that just because of the cast?”, I just had that moment.
From director Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Cast Away, and the Back to the Future trilogy) comes a story of a pilot (Denzel Washington) who manages to land his aircraft during a mid-air emergency and saving the lives of many onboard through a daring flying maneuver.
This looks interesting to me and I think that in lesser hands it might actually looks like a TV movie of the week but I hold out hope for Robert Zemeckis that’s still able to create an engaging and endearing film with great actors. I hope that Flight will be able to redeem him in the eyes of many since his last few films have all been creepy motion-capture and CG (A Christmas Carol, Beowulf, and The Polar Express) which I think only about 4 people in the world actually enjoyed.
Plus is stars Denzel Washington, John Goodman, and Don Cheadle, 3 great actors who I love watching in film. They all bring something special to their roles and quite simply own the scenes they’re in. Now they get to share screen time together, sounds good to me.
Flight is scheduled to be released on the following dates; (Correct as of today)
Australia: No date yet, US: 2nd November 2012, and the UK: 25th January 2013

Great seeing Robert Zemeckis back – the cast is great & the trailer got enough intrigue to make this appeal enough to warrant a trip to the big screen – when I first heard about this movie I hoped that there would be a slight supernatural element to the film but that don’t look likely… See even sat in a train station in Naples (Italy) modern technology enables me to read this brilliant website! Fantastic work as always Russ!

Still in Italy but will have more time Sunday onwards to talk movies & yep I’m all pizza’d out!
