'A Thousand Words' Trailer
OK, so don’t think less of me but this trailer made me laugh. Yup, there I said it. I feel better, thanks.
Now I am not exactly sure what it is that made me laugh but I kind of like the idea of Eddie Murphy playing a character who has to choose his words carefully given how he’s built a career on his verbose vocabulary. This means that he’s going to need to rely a little more on the comedy more associated with Jim Carrey and Rowan Atkinson, I wouldn’t mind seeing how he does.
Plus, it doesn’t look as bad as pretty much every other family movie he’s done over the past 10 years, right?
A Thousand Words is released on March 23rd 2012 in the United States.

Melissa Bradley says: This made me laugh as well. I have missed the Eddie Murphy of Beverly Hills Cop, etc. He kind of lost himself when he went to the family friendly crap. That is so not his style. The exception is Shrek as Donkey reminded me of some of Eddie’s old SNL characters, irreverent, goofy and wicked smart.
I hope this is as good as the trailer shows. Eddie needs a massive hit. I did like Tower Heist with Ben Stiller and was surprised it was not a bigger hit.

Yeah I hear you loud and clear, I think the time is right for an Eddie Murphy comeback. I think that people have missed seeing him doing some of his older style comedy and that it would be a very welcome return to form for him. This looks a little different from all the other family friendly stuff so I do hope that it does deliver and hopefully leads into something bigger for him.
I haven’t seen ‘Tower Heist’ yet but I would like to. It looks pretty good and most things I’ve heard from it were pretty positive.
I actually thought that looks alright… OK it is not going to be ground breaking, but it could be fun…. right?

I think you’re spot on Scott! I don’t think there’s really going to be anything new here but I do think that it will be a lot more fun than a lot of recent Eddie Murphy films…maybe not a return to form but certainly it looks like it’s a step in the right direction.
i laughed the whole trailer, so i decided to comment, i wish people will go and support miss washington and mr murphy
